Philosophy
Concept should survive contact with the site.
We work across three connected disciplines — documentation, visualization, and design. Each one feeds the others. The photographs inform the renders. The renders test the design. The design grounds the documentation.
The studio operates with the belief that architecture is not just about the final image. It is about the full arc: from the first sketch, through the site visits, into the material choices, and through to the moment someone lives in it.
We keep our projects small enough to stay involved, and specific enough to stay honest.

People
A small studio that stays close to the work.
Four Degree North is led by Shareekh Ali and Suryanath — an architect and a visual storyteller, both working from Kerala. The studio stays small by choice, taking on work that benefits from direct involvement rather than delegation.
Suryanath leads the documentation and editorial work, bringing an eye for light, atmosphere, and narrative to every shoot. The design practice is built around homes, interiors, and small-scale projects that allow close attention to material and detail.

The name comes from our latitude. We work where monsoon, tropical light, and a long material tradition shape every project.
